Introduction
We will tell you a secret about Heaven. The truth is, God and the Celestials are just like people in this way: God wants a relationship with the ones He loves. All the Agents of Heaven feel the same way. Yes, they are happy when God's children grow in rightness. But, more than anything, they want a relationship with us. Not just for our sake, although it IS good for us -- but also for Heaven's sake. This is where fulfillment lies -- for both humans and Celestials.
People have the idea of a God, a Heaven, whose entire purpose is about our rightness, our evolution. This is not entirely wrong. Heaven certainly is committed to rightness. And Heaven DOES place tremendous value on this growth -- just not OUTSIDE of the context of a love relationship. Their interest is not that kind of impersonal, you see. It is more similar to the way parents are committed to the growth and well-being of their children, or the way anyone would want the ones they love to be themselves, and to be morally right, and to be happy by virtue of those things.
In the spirit of this understanding, our "For the Love of God" section is dedicated to articles and other offerings intended to encourage and support you in developing a true, close, personal relationship with God and other Celestial Beings. There's no (good) reason for Heaven and Earth to feel so distant!
