THE NEED FOR CONSTANCY IN LOVING GOD

Dear ones,

I and My heavenly helpers are real -- as real as any physical person there is. And Our relationship to you is real. It makes a huge difference in your life what is happening with Us, and what is happening in your relationship to Us.

Human beings, in general, have chosen to make Us less important by deciding that We are less real than what they can physically see. And that assumption has emotional weight, and impact. So to most of you, what happens with Me feels less important, emotionally, than what happens on the physical plane.

It is a choice for separation to feel that the physical is what makes something real and emotionally important. What about Our love -- My love for you, and your love for Me? Is it not equally important, or more so?

And yet, when you are over-invested in the physical world, and things do not go as you wish, you tend to obsess about the problem, and in so doing, pull away from Me -- as if physical life were important enough to consume you, and take all your attention away from Me.

In a life of a living relationship with Me, you never get stuck in what the world has created for you. There is never, never such a problem for you. You do experience heartbreak; but those troubles are not your whole world.

Because, you see, in each moment I have a suggestion for you. And if you are listening, that suggestion will govern your moods. I will speak to you about the things that are going on, and guide you. And that will be what drives you. That will affect the way you feel, so that you are not living downstream from the world so much, but downstream from Me.

Of course you will feel passionately about the things that happen in your life -- you will, and you should; because that is how I feel. I am passionate about every thing, every person, every choice! So: tears, intense feelings -- these things will not get left behind. Not at all. In fact, passion will be amplified when you live close to Me. What I mean to say is simply this: the truly good life is in not leaving Me behind; it is in staying close to Me, connected to Me, and listening to Me.

You work hard to take what is physical and make it into something significant, something uplifting. And the physical does have great value, inasmuch as one puts value in it. To be responsible for and attentive to the physical, and to create beauty and goodness in the world, is part of giving, part of the creative process. It is good to give a thing full of love, or a service full of love -- something to represent love in the mind of the receiver. This is care; and this is My daily activity.

So, I'm not saying that the physical is unimportant, dear ones. Although you frequently ask Me for help with physical things, you have not been too demanding. You can certainly be demanding, but you are more than that: you are a child of Mine. And as such, I already wish to give you everything good, and lovely, and of value. The trouble is, that cannot actually make enough difference to you now, because you have, of your own will, disconnected yourself from Me.

You disconnect because the balance of your investment between the world you see and the world of heaven is not right. You have too much invested in what you desire, require, and demand, and not enough invested in Me.

What about Me? And what about your heavenly helpers? Are We unimportant because We are not physical? We are real, and you are not taking that into account. And We need things from you, as much as you have needs. We need your love, and We need your help.

We have, to a great extent, pushed into the physical for your sake -- to try to be a part of your lives, and contribute to your lives as much as possible. There is plenty of headroom there; it is possible for Us to be more involved, much more -- but it cannot happen without a reasonable willingness on your part to push back. It is only in you that there is a lack of will to comply, to respond to My desires; I respond to you always.

Your Lover has been pursuing you

Dear ones, I have not forsaken you. Indeed, I have been attending to you, and pursuing you. You are being pursued personally by Me. And that really is the most important thing that is happening in your life -- not just for you, but for Us and for the Universe. But, My beloved child, when you become too absorbed in your concerns and desires, you disconnect from Me, and you act as if, somehow, this love relationship is secondary. It is not secondary -- it is primary.

Understand: I am not saying that you over-value the physical. Your value on the physical is good, because the physical is a perfect and beautiful manifestation of I, and it needs your care, attention, and investment in order to be right. It is the proportions of your investment that are imperfect. Your present investment is so heavily on the side of the physical, it is as if you are saying (in your mind), "If it is not physical, how can I be passionate about it? How can I consider it important and real?" (Obviously, that is not entirely your attitude, but to some extent -- enough of an extent to make a big difference -- it is.)

That is not to say you should un-invest from the physical, or from life in this world. I would never say that, or implement that. It is My own will that you should live passionately, and give of yourself in this world. But in so doing, you should not ignore the fact that the etheric (or spiritual) has its effect on the physical. One cannot separate these things, you see? And so much has to start -- be born and built -- in the etheric. Especially with Myself, and those of heaven.

So do not discredit, in your mind, the reality -- the emotional reality -- of I, or of this relationship. Accept the possibility of a continuous relationship with Me that is actually, tangibly, emotionally comforting. And embrace this relationship so that it can be satisfying, tangible, fulfilling, active, dynamic.

Perhaps you sometimes embrace this relationship truly, and sometimes enter consciously into it, but you do not do so continuously. Therefore, beloved, you may need this message on this day, while perhaps, on another day, I would not need to say this. But I say it now because you need to be more consistent in order to enjoy true love with Me.
