SUFFERING AND TRIBULATION

My beloveds,

Many people wonder, why does God allow suffering? Some people explain suffering by saying that it is part of God's upbringing of people. One the one hand, that is not true. On the other hand, it is.

I do not create tribulations, nor did I intend for them.

I created man, and man was not made to suffer. Man was not made to think that he was small, to feel small, and to struggle with himself.

Man was also not made to suffer the results of unlove from others, and cruelty, and abuse. There were not meant to be wars, abusive relationships, unloving "friends," bullies, any of that. This was not meant to be. Man's soul was not meant to suffer this.

You know this, because your soul revolts at the idea that people do not love one another, or that you are so small as you think you are. This feels unnatural. Entirely unnatural.

It is obvious that none of these things tend to make people grow, in and of themselves, although sometimes they CAN be USED to make people grow. Certainly, to be very small does not make a person grow; to be unloving, or to be in an unloving relationship does not make a person grow. Even war usually makes people into animals, or wrecks, and terrifies people. Only a few try to use it to grow.

However, a person's spiritual response to something ugly CAN serve as a reminder of who they are. Because a person is very loving inside, sometimes, if they see something terrible happening, their soul will cry out against it, because the soul knows that it is wrong. And when that happens, they are reminded of who they are. That is why you get saints out of wars sometimes. That is why, occasionally, people who have been abused and hated will become saints. But that is somewhat rare in this world. Most people do not use suffering well.

Suffering does bring forth compassion. Because the soul response of compassion to suffering is particularly strong, people are moved to find their true compassion when there is suffering. However, compassion already is. A truly compassionate person is always compassionate, no matter what is happening, whether people are suffering or not.

So, that which is horrible is not good within itself. The soul is good, and therefore, evil causes the soul to rise up against it, over and above it.

Also, most natural disasters were not meant to happen. MOST of them are the results either of man's direct action upon the earth, or the vibratory disturbance created on the earth by man.

Once again, when there is a natural disaster, people may find their compassion, they may find their goodness, because there are so many who are suffering; but in the beginning they were already compassionate. They did not need suffering to "find" their compassion, or their care. People should not need a natural disaster in order to passionately care about others.

Then, on the other hand, since man HAS gone into a position of not knowing himself, of not knowing who he is, these things can be helpful.

As I have said, when something terrible happens, the soul rises up to solve it. When one person is doing something terribly evil, because they have dulled their senses enough to be able to bear it, others will rise up to stop it, and in that they will find their souls. When there is a war that is easy to see is wrong, many will find their goodness, or at least some small part of their goodness, in their objection to that war. When there is a child dying on the street, a person may find their compassion, because the child needs so much help.

These extremes should not be needed to awaken mankind's true self, but they do, so I do my best to take advantage of negative situations in this way.

Now, let us talk about mankind's strength. "Suffering makes you strong," people say. In saying that, people might mean that you are able to be a strong spirit despite the fact that many bad things have happened to you. Or they may mean that BECAUSE many bad things have happened to you, your spirit is strong. I would say, I created you strong. And because many bad things have happened to you, and your spirit rebelled against the idea of being a victim, or against being shaped into something ugly by your experiences, you now know your spirit better than most people. Since mankind is so lost, it is good for the spirit to rebel. It is one of the ways in which you find your spirit.

That spirit, which rebelled against being shaped into something ugly, which rebelled against being a victim, is the spirit that I made.

HOWEVER, THERE IS A VALUE INHERENT IN THE FACT THAT THE SPIRIT REBELLED AGAINST THE UGLINESS WHICH I DID NOT MAKE. IT IS IN THE FACT OF FREE WILL.

When mankind's spirit rebels against that which is ugly and chooses that which is good, that is of tremendous value. I could not GIVE to people the fact of their choosing to be true and good, instead of conforming to ugliness.

I did create this world with the option for ugliness, and many people have chosen it. The value of that option is that, when people have a choice, they can CHOOSE goodness and love.

And value can be found in fact that this world is full of tribulations, because it can cause the spirit to rebel, and choose goodness.

However, I mourn the fact that this world is so full of tribulation, and do not celebrate it. Most of My children do not rebel against the evils of this world, and most of My children have chosen to be victims of the ugliness around them, and to be shaped by the ugliness around them. I mourn that. I see My children as innocent, and I want them to come home. I miss you all. I miss My children.

My dear ones, will is something that I cannot give My children. I gave you the ABILITY to choose, but that is not what I am talking about. I am talking about the will that a person has as a result of choices: the will to love; the will of one who has integrity and will not be untrue; a will of rock. This is the will I am talking about.

My dear ones, there is a bright light at the end of the tunnel. Those who rebel against the customs of this world, when negative ways are SO WIDELY accepted, will choose for rightness SO strongly. This is the great benefit of the world being as it is. It is not easy to stand up for what you know here, to love hugely here, to be true here. Therefore, people choose these things even against odds. That is a great and wonderful thing.

My dears, that is why I placed you together in this world, with the ability to make terrible choices, and to suffer. I know, My dear ones, that it is ghastly, that it is hard. I know, My dear ones. Choose rightly, choose well. Do not let this world shape you in a negative fashion. Rather, rebel against its evils. Do not let it make you feel small or weak, but rise up and be strong, and do what you can to help it, as your spirit desires to do. You cannot help this world if you be a victim of it, nor can you help yourself. Rebel! The benefits then will be GREAT, greater than you can imagine.
