REAL SPIRITUALITY

My beloveds,

I want to talk to you about real spirituality vs. subjective spirituality.

I am not here to give you beautiful ideas -- not entirely. When you hear what I say, you are inspired. That is good. But My dear ones, it is not enough.

Many people, when they hear the truth, are more absorbed in the beauty of it, in the intellectual internalization of it, than they are in the RELEVANCE of it.

This is similar to a teenage girl in love. In her room, when she thinks of her beloved, she is full of romance, passion, sweetness. But when she is with him, she stares at the floor shyly. She does not LIVE that feeling at all.

Or in many adult couples, people may have grand ideas about what their relationship is. Like, they may say, "We support one another's spirits. We support one another's heart's needs. We are one another's best friends." They carry this philosophy around with them with great conviction, even when they are with one another. But they do not actually notice one another's spirits, one another's heart's needs. They think that because they hold this philosophy together, they ARE supporting one another's spirits and heart's needs. But the truth is, it takes much MORE than that. It takes paying attention. It takes being, seeing, and acting in reality.

Many of My children know the truth, and they carry it around inside them all the time, as a feeling, as a resolve, as an inspiration; but their reality couldn't be further from that truth. Their relationships are not affected by it, the way they live is not affected by it, nothing much is affected by it.

My dear ones, spirituality is useless until it is REAL. When you are too involved in what you are thinking about spirituality, you miss what you really need to do. You don't notice the fact that your friend needs a pencil, that your son needs some attention, that your mother needs help washing the dishes. You don't notice these things, because you are too busy philosophizing.

And, sometimes, you will wake up in the morning with the idea that you are going to be very loving today. Then, you walk around, feeling bright and exuberant. You are intensely involved in your feeling of walking around being loving. But what if you forget everybody else because you are so absorbed in being loving? My beloveds, is that love? It may still uplift some people around you that you are creating and fueling this feeling within yourself. But the likelihood is, you will hurt many people by being inattentive, insensitive, neglectful, EVEN though you are concentrating so intently on being loving -- in fact, because you are concentrating so intently on that.

Furthermore, My loves, this subjective spirituality prevents you from being able to do My purposes. You are too distracted in creating a right set of ideas, in following a specific path, in cultivating the right feeling in yourselves, to hear My voice, or to notice what is needed around you. I NEED you to notice, My loves; I need you to be HERE, where I am, and where all My children are, so that you can help. I need your hands and feet, your mind, your heart, your attention. BE IN REALITY, My loved ones. Come out of this fantasy that you are calling spirituality, philosophy. It is not helpful -- not to you, or to Me, or to anyone.

Therefore, My loves, when I talk to you about high spiritual truths, it is okay that you are happy and inspired. It is okay that you find these truths beautiful. But, at the same time, you must be sober; you must hear what I say more deeply. You must take what I say seriously, and consider your life in the light of what I have said.

My beloved ones, you are better off in reality. The reality that I created is beautiful. And it will only get to be if all of My children are willing to be in it. Otherwise, many people will starve and suffer, due to the inattention of one another. And My reality -- the reality of all of My children and of Me -- will not get to be manifested, because everyone is too busy being involved with a fantasy.
