OUR FUNCTIONAL RELATIONSHIP

Beloveds,

We -- each of my children and ME -- need a functional relationship. We need a relationship in which you depend on Me, and I depend on you; in which we work together, in which we help together, and we help one another in helping.

Many of My children place too little emphasis on the functional aspect of Our relationship. Many focus primarily on the feeling of intimacy with Me -- the bathing in Bliss, the ecstasy of Divine communion. This, My dear ones, is a beautiful thing. But when you focus on this primarily, and give too little to the functional relationship, it becomes hedonistic. How can true love and communion be without function, without help, without mutual dependency? How can you really love Me without the desire arising in you to help Me? You see? It is natural.

Therefore, when you see, in yourself, the tendency to pursue the feeling relationship WITHOUT the functional relationship, beware. You are forgetting Me then, and looking for a beautiful subjective experience. In that case, you do not actually have a true, feeling love relationship with Me.

On the other hand, beware of the opposite problem: looking to create a functional relationship with Me without having a feeling intimacy, in which you are nurtured and supported by Me, in which you love Me and are loved by Me, in which you get to be refreshed by the ecstasy of Divine communion, the bathing in Bliss that is inherent in being close to Me. This too, My dear ones, is unworkable, because you cannot function with Me if we are not one, if you do not have the experience of being close to Me. How can it be so? You will simply be functioning alone then, and you will struggle too much, and wear yourself out.

Also, your being is not complete without the experience of close communion with Me. You are not complete without it. You are as a person without arms when you do not have a close and feeling relationship with Me. In other words, you do not have the use of all your faculties (emotional, spiritual, of the higher mind, and more). You are disempowered. You are not able to function as you were made to function.

Also, without being close to Me, you are as a person without a spirit. Although your spirit lives, it is dead, because it is not driven by Me. You do not have My Wind in your sails. HOW can a sail boat function without any wind? It cannot. You need My Wind. You need the beautiful, feeling, love relationship with Me, so that there will always be wind in your sails. Therefore, you cannot truly function with Me when you do not have a beautiful and feeling love relationship with Me.

Also, My beloved ones, I love you, deeply. I love you as My dear ones, not simply as My functionaries. Therefore, I want you near Me, and I miss you when you think you are far away. Remember these things, My beloveds. And stay with Me as I stay with you.
