Many spiritual practices attempt, in some way, to expand consciousness. But in between sessions of spiritual practice, many of us feel we need to protect ourselves from the rigors of social interaction. As a result, we live isolated lives, cut off emotionally if not physically from others. This is the OPPOSITE of an expanded state!
